My family is a lively bunch that includes my husband, our two energetic boys, our playful Malinois X named Meka, two adorable Netherland dwarf bunnies, and even some fascinating Axolotls! We once had an incredibly special German Shepherd cross named Kai, whom I rescued years ago. She was not just my best friend but also the perfect family dog Sadly, we had to make the tough decision to say goodbye to her last year at the age of 21, but she lived a vibrant filled life with love and joy! Kai was young at heart, and my business kept her active; we adopted her from Heathlands Animal Sanctuary when she needed a caring home.

Now, Meka is our adventurous rescue from RATs! At just four years, she's full of energy and loves to play. She enjoys daycare and has made lots of friends, and we're working hard on her training to help her trust people, especially men.

We live in a lovely village in semi-detached house with a spacious garden, providing plenty of room for our fun-loving family! Animals have always been my passion; I used to run our family business, which included quarantine kennels and a cattery. With years of experience in animal care, from working in kennels and shelters to being a zookeeper, I also hold an Animal Science degree and have First Aid training for animals. I’ve cared for various pets, including rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and horses.

The walks around our area are absolutely delightful! We have access to a beautiful river walk that Meka adores, as well as the Heath in Royston, which she loves just as much. I love bundling everyone into the van for fantastic adventures in the woods!

As a full-time mom of two boys I wanted to keep my passion for animals alive, which is why I started my ever-growing business, Family Pet Care. There’s never a dull moment, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
